The Vedas, Rig-veda,Samveda,Yajurveda,Atharvaveda,and Ayurveda; were not just ideations, they were pure practical aspects on living life in Prithvi or Dhara. Rishis who created such wonderous texts were full of Discipline,Dedication,Devotion,Dynamism,Dexterity(Expertise in Subject Written) that all their work has stood the test of time.

Besides these, Brahmanyakas,Upanishads,Udgiths, Havan Mantras, and Festival rituals were all made to make the mankind a logical living being. Now our kids hardly know any of the above names thanks to the influence of the "Little Idiot-Box" or Television's Serials and Cartoon Network which has made the modern-day children glued to the television, and hardly use their brains for creative pursuits or even book-reading.
Today's kids have lesser concentration on the task, with a flickering mind and wavering interests on studies;but watch with total attentiveness programmes like:-- Ben10, Power-Rangers,Monster Mania (Tv cartoons),etc. There are some kids who make it to "Lil Champs---Zara Nach Ke Dikha" and "Boogie Woogie", these types have the ability, zest and guts to succeed through a self-punishing regimen of hardwork with no compromise on time-wasting or cartooning before the TV. They prefer to be seen on TV rather than waste time watching TV for long hours.

All creativity needs a mission of dedicated hardwork!

Article is really good and makes surface for discussion on "how creative people should be on work". I am agreed that for best results we should be disciplined while execution of ideas but when it comes idea generation we should not restrict creative people to discipline otherwise it will make them conscious and will develop a limitation circle in mind and will not be able to think beyond this..........

We should always remember M.F. Hussain, society demanded discipline which made him to think to l've his 'KARMBHUMI'.

creative mind is the most efficient machine till date to convert informations into great ideas but only when it is not conscious.
